Pinto Art Museum

4:05 AM

After months of wanting and planning to go to this museum.... I finally achieved it last Sunday! Since this museum became a "thing" at social media, me and my friends have been wanting to go here. Unfortunately, it would not push through. Good thing, while I'm still on a vacation from school, I got to convince my aunt to spare one Sunday from her schedule. Scroll down to see more!
(warning: VERY image heavy)

It was a gloomy but humid day when we were there. The heat gave us a hard time while we were exploring the whole place.

I read from a blog that the museum's concept was "man + nature + art". When you tour around the place, you'll be surrounded by more plants rather than concrete. It's also called "Pinto" because there are many doors that lead you to different rooms and paths.

Here are a few of the sculptures that captured my attention. I'm more of a painting lover than a sculpture enthusiast. These were made out of wires and resin.

Obviously, these were carved from wood. This is part of the Philippine Indigenous Art Gallery.

I was too focused in appreciating art, I didn't get to take pictures of them. Sadly, I can only share a few photos.

I don't know if these two artworks are connected to each other but let me give a meaning to this. The chair with wings was probably placed near the painting because people tend to feel like flying because of happiness when you get to graduate and have your diploma.

These paintings were made from thread and textile cloth. Look closely and I can't imagine how much patience a person needs to finish this!

And behold, my fave spot on the museum.

You're surrounded by huge paintings.

Look who requested to have his photo taken. Meet the best boyfriend in the world! hihi :) Sorry I think that was too cheesy hahaha

I tried taking a panorama shot of one of the galleries using my phone.

This spot is a crowd favorite. On the photo are my sisters. They're twins, actually.

There are many spots where you can have your next Instagram post taken.Like us, we can't help but abuse it and take a lot of photos.

Pinto Art Museum is located at 1 Sierra Madre St., Grand Heights Subdivision, 1870 Antipolo, Rizal and open on Tuesdays - Sundays from 9am - 6pm. Regular entrance fee is Php200, but if you present a valid student ID it's only Php100!

Did you enjoy reading another adventure post? I would appreciate if you have more great places to suggest! <3
